I am new to this site, and would be great to hear from other single parents out there, I am 30ish (lol)and have a beautiful 10 month old wee boy live in falkirk and am desperate to meet other mums in my area who i can have somthing in common with!! I find some of the baby groups people are not always that friendly, or are teenagers or are married and not interested in making friends! I really luv being a mum but there must be others like me out there who find it a wee bit lonely doin the single mum thing and could do with havin a laugh now and again.
I would also luv to hear of anyone in falkirk or stirling who knows of any goodfun baby/toddler activity groups or classes that are on?

I am staying in Camelon so not far away, I agree, would like to meet other mums in area, do you go to any groups just now? The mums group in camelon looks a bit scary I am not from round here so its quite hard goin to some of those things!! Tried one before and found it a little anti social, have you had any luck at anything like that? I am back at work now unfortunately but am off every wednesday and every second friday, so wanting to start doin sumthin to get out and about with jack and maybe even meet some real live people!!LOL!! . I've heard someone saying somthing about a place called the buzz in falkirk do you know what its like?

I've not taken her to any yet, took my son to a surestart one in Grangemouth when he was a baby but felt a bit of an outsider and awkward so only went a few times. I've never been to the buzz yet but apparently its brilliant for kids. Its got a big playroom for the big kids and a sensory room for the little ones which i quite fancy. I've got to the stage that i've forgoten what real live ppl look like that aren't family or known through the kids lol so I know how you feel.

Well i am planning on starting to do more with little jack as he has just finally knocked his cold on the head after about 6 weeks of non-stop sniffles!! Its starting nursery thats done it!! I still havent started taking him swimming yet so think I am going to try the mariner centre, do you take your wee ones there? Its just round the corner for me so would be dead easy, think they have some classes for little ones. If you fancy some time we should get the boys together to do somthing and have a blether, do you work yourself? I am off 3 days a week , I work in Glasgow as a shop manager, although wish I didnt have to, I hate work now that Ive gone back after maternity, and could do with out the stress!!

Yeah that would be good, we could maybe take them along to the buzz I tried swimming with her and she screamed. Its a wee girl I've got though my wee boys 6 and not so wee anymore lol.

Glad the wee ones finally over his cold, its rubbish when there ill.

I'm not working the now gonna enjoy Seona for a wee bit longer I think and maybe go back to work after she's 1.
