Having a baby can bring you and your partner together as you wonder over the beautiful bundle of joy you’ve brought into the world. It can also put a strain on your relationship, though, if you find yourselves struggling to cope with your new roles as parents.

 

Lack of sleep can turn you from happy to snappy and, of course, have an effect on your sex life, too. Just a quick squeeze of the hand, a hug or a kiss when you’ve got a free moment can help you both remember that it won’t always be like this and you are still lovers and not just ‘mum’ and ‘dad’. If you can, try to get some time to yourselves every now and then – even just an hour while a friend or family member looks after your little ones can help keep your relationship in shape.
